📑 Table of Contents

01 Scope

ISO 11451 specifies vehicle-level immunity test methods to narrowband radiated electromagnetic energy. ISO 11451-1 is general and definitions; later parts define methods (anechoic chamber, TEM cell, stripline, antenna radiation).

02 Normative references

  1. ISO 11451-1 General
  2. ISO 11451-2 Anechoic chamber
  3. IEC 61000-4-3 (ref.)

03 Terms and definitions

Vehicle immunity
Apply radiated field to the whole vehicle; monitor on-board electronics.

04 Technical requirements

Setup
Vehicle in anechoic/open-area; antenna applies 20 MHz~18 GHz field at levels (e.g. 30 V/m, 100 V/m).
Monitoring
With engine running/key functions active, monitor comms, instruments, controls for failure/degradation.
