01 Scope

IEC 60335-1 specifies general safety requirements and tests for household and similar electrical appliances (single-phase ≤250 V, others ≤480 V). It is the foundation for all IEC 60335-2-x particular standards. GB 4706.1 is identically adopted from this standard.

03 Terms and definitions

Class 0 appliance

Relies on basic insulation only, no protective earthing (largely obsolete).

Class I appliance

Basic insulation plus protective earthing (grounding).

Class II appliance

Double or reinforced insulation, no protective earthing, marked '回'.

Class III appliance

04 Technical requirements

通用安全要求（引用 IEC 60335-1）

防触电：0/I/II/III 类结构，基本绝缘+保护接地（I 类）或双重/加强绝缘（II 类）。
温升与发热：正常及异常（堵转、短路、温控器失效）下，绕组、手柄、外壳温升不超限值。
泄漏电流与电气强度：工作温度及潮态后施加规定耐压，泄漏电流不超标。
非正常工作：模拟单一故障不得起火或产生危险。
机械危险：运动件防护、稳定性、机械强度（冲击/跌落）。
结构、内部布线、元件、电源连接、接地、爬电距离与电气间隙、耐热耐燃（灼热丝/针焰）。
